How do I fix error 14098?

Run Start Component Cleanup Command.
Reset Windows Update Components.
Run Restore Health Command in a Clean Boot State.
Whitelist the “dism.exe” in Your Antivirus Program.
Uninstall Recently Installed Updates.

The root cause of DISM, its error 14098, is corruption related to Windows Update components, since DISM is not working either. Users failed to fix their PC and because of this, Windows Update is not working properly. In addition, several important Windows functions have stopped working, which is sure to bring a nightmare to users.

Unfortunately, this also results in a dism error. Security program antivirus software can block your system and interfere with every critical process. Therefore, I am warning you, temporarily disable or uninstall all antivirus and security programs if possible, and then rescan DISM to see if it works better.

Sometimes when checking a Windows image, your image may simply be corrupted, and end users may receive one of the following errors: Error: 14098, The component store is already corrupted. Many built-in Windows features work because of this issue. Why is it damaged?

The command will certainly not result in excessive hints. The second reason for DISM error 87 is that the command does not run in a different elevated Command Prompt window. When customers run this command in a consistent command prompt window, they may encounter DISM error 87.

When an operating system is supported, it is updated from the store. Imaging Windows and Service Pack are responsible for this. If you are getting error 14098 “The component store was once corrupted”, it means that something went wrong with Windows Updates and their packages.

DISM is widely used to repair a corrupted Windows Component Store, especially in situations where this special system file checker does not help. The DISM tool writes the following log files that you can use to analyze operational status and errors: C:WindowsLogsCBSCBS .log. C:WindowsLogsDISMDISM.log.
