Window 11 uses virtualization-based security (VBS) for enhanced kernel protection against potential threats. Hypervisor-protected code integrity (HVCI), also called memory integrity, will be enabled by default on all new Windows 11 devices.

Familiar Microsoft security features like Defender Antivirus don’t seem to have changed much in Windows 11. Microsoft is constantly pushing passwordless security, which uses some of our advanced security technologies required for Windows 10, but passwordless security is present in Windows 10.


In a blog post, Microsoft explained the security benefits of its modern operating system. Windows 11 improves security fundamentals with new PC hardware security requirements, hardware isolation, a proven level, and Microsoft’s strongest anti-spyware protection.
