If you are logged in when you right click on the faster path to VB6 and select “Run as administrator”, log in as administrator, then VB6 should open without error. Close VB6 then try running it without admin rights. I think the problem is just pretty busy because it’s trying to get registry entries it doesn’t have access to.

When you start Visual Basic, you may see a User Account Control (UAC) dialog box asking you to specify exactly that you want to run the program normally. This is because it runs with elevated privileges. You may also receive a color scheme change message, which helps with Windows Vista Basic.

To manually discover and select a registry key visible to ProcMon: – Right-click this access and select “Properties…”, then look at the property path. Leave this dialog box open as you will be accessing it in a moment. In the registry editor, select the central HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT. Click the drop-down arrow to the left of it.

The registry helps some operating systems manage your computer, helps programs use your computer and/or your computer’s resources, and provides a place to store custom settings you make both in Windows and in your programs. For example, if you change all Windows desktops, the changes are only saved in the registry.

As mentioned earlier, frequent access to the registry can be caused by corruption. SFC is a built-in command word utility that helps repair corrupted files as well as missing PCs. It replaces faulty and corrupted computer data file systems with healthy file systems. To run an SFC command, follow these steps.

Why is that the computer is slow when accessing the external disk compared to accessing hard disk?

Clean up large files on a slow external hard drive. A very common reason why a hard drive is considered light, even if it’s not about measurements, is high load. For example, buyers can download multiple torrent videos to the hard drive at the same time, watch the silver screen from the same hard drive, and take care of the same hard drive during a virus.
